The Road to MFL Bowl X
By Kevin on December 11, 2012
We’re here. Well, they’re here. The 2012 MFL Football Playoffs begin this week. Another long and dramatic regular season is in the books. Our season began with a rookie running wild and wreaking havoc on the MFL. Markham nearly single handedly forced us all to turn in our fantasy cards after a 5-0 start. But, in the end it was the crafty veterans who prevail once more.
Paswa started 0-4 but finished with an 8-2 record in his last 10 games, proving that it’s how you finish that counts the most in the MFL
3 of the 4 playoff teams are represented by some of our longest tenured team owners. Frank and Bill have both been in the MFL since its official beginning in 2003. Paswa followed in 2006. Andy Rick, on the other hand, joined us in 2011 and has done wonders to erase our minds of his humble beginnings.
So, as we brace ourselves for what is sure to be another great playoff run and prepare for our milestone 10th league championship, let’s take a brief look at the winners of the past:
Halsey and Matt combine for over half of our league champions, but neither will have a shot at winning our historic 10th bowl game
2003- Halsey
2004- Kevin
2005- Matt
2006- Halsey
2007- Paswa
2008- Halsey
2009- Keith
2010- Matt
2011- Bill
